The woman who traded in my Fit got a Mazda 5, she thought the Fit was just too small. That's the story the lot told me, anyway. I'm grateful she did, or I'd have been Fitless forever.
My ex and I had a Mazda 5 from 06 to 08. It was a first year model, so this shoukd be taken with that in mind, but we were displeased with the quality. It was a really neat car, great driving, and very versatile inside, but the interior didn't hold up well at all (panels would pop off, seat fabric frayed and got pillballs, and legroom was limited. It seemed that I was always catching a hangnail or otherwise scraping myself on rough hard plastic edges. The big issues - the sliding doors had to be repaired (under warranty) when they froze open in freezing weather (we had to use a hairdryer to unfreeze the latching mechanism) and the ecu was buggy - it would spontaneously lose power, then jolt back with a sudden surge and a backfire, usually right after shifting 1-2 or 2-3.
If they got these issues worked out (and honestly, there's no excuse to NOT fix them after 5 years) it may be a nice choice.
