Fit greenhouse effect
Fit greenhouse effect
One of the first things I noticed about my Fit is that the interior gets hot in the sun extremely fast. In fact, I can feel the heat from the sun on my skin much more than my previous car, which was a Chrysler. Do the windows not have any filtering to reduce the amount of solar heat that can make it into the car?

A modest tint and a dash topper carpet will make a world of difference. And window visors so you can crack the windows on really hot days. My last car was a Mazda5 and you could cook steaks inside that sucker all summer....
I normally dislike tint, but on a Fit/Jazz I think it's a must. The windshield is a huge hot spot. When I had my windshield replaced recently, the old tint obviously went away and it was a chore dealing with the heat on a road trip in the summer heat. I restored the tint the soonest I could.
Window visors are such a GREAT idea - at first I thought they were just for looks but I was very, very wrong.
