New Fit in the driveway...thanks, forum

We got our Fit Sport Auto, Blackberry Pearl, yesterday. Thanks for a great forum, I've enjoyed reading many threads for the last couple of weeks. This forum was the deciding factor for us; if so many people love it, it must be a good little car. And, Consumer Reports is very high on it too.

The only fault I can find is that it doesn't have an outside temperature indicator. What a strange item to leave off in 2010! The cost to include it would be miniscule, I'm sure.

Welcome to the FF family! If you stay long enough you may find a DIY on installing a temp sensor in your Fit....

That is true of a LOT of things Honda could've put in. But, if you're anything like me and shopping... don't know how a bunch of cheap snacks and veggies things can ring over $100 at a Jewel....

My point is, while the part itself is cheap, it will add up. In terms of auto manufacturing, I'm sure it requires at least 1 or 2 additional UNIQUE steps in the assembly line... and who knows what else.

The Fit is marketed as an inexpensive but practical car. I translate that as cheap and useful. If you want to say cheaply made, sure... but, it's good enough for me.
