Problems happen to Hondas too! I had a horrendous experience with an 03 Accord. Five transmissions in 60,000 miles and Honda hung me to dry. Yet I still buy a Fit....

If I am not mistaken, 01 to 04 Accord suffered from AT recall. Before my FIT, I had a 01 Accord and after driving it for 4 years, Honda sent me a letter automatically extended my AT warranty from original 5 years to 7 years/or 150,000 km which ever comes first after discovering some manufacturing defect. I am not surprised when I read your 03 Accord transmission problems

 

When I think of Subaru I think of spun main bearings, head gaskets, two-timing belts, and water pumps and talking from my experience as well!

My Dad had an 03-04 silver/black manual Baja. It had the head gasket issue after only 69k miles.

 

totaled my 2013 a month ago when i was attacked by a construction barrel.... moved to a Mazda CX-5 Touring. I will miss the dustbuster though
