The girlfriend and I are going to be traveling from LA to Yellowstone and spending quite a bit of time camping in the park. I need to carry a little more than what the Fit will hold but I'm worried about the reduced gas mileage a roof rack brings.

I was wondering about the logistics of mounting a rear hitch mounted basket to a 2007 Honda Fit. Has anyone done this? Is the Fit's clearance from the ground too low to accomodate a basket such as one of these:
