Cargo Net/Cargo Tray

Hello :-) I just bought my first Fit over the weekend and after hauling some things in the cargo space am in need of some serious organization back there. Does anyone know if the Honda cargo net can install vertically as well as horizontally (this is for a 2011 model). Also, can you use the cargo tray in conjunction with the net? Thanks!

Do you have a GD (07-08) model or a GE (09 -11) model? I believe the GD nets install vertically and the GE are horizontal. I got the cargo organizer for my fit.

It's just a 2011 base model - not sport. Thanks!

looks like you would need tie down hook for the Base model-- they are already included with the Sport

Cargo Tie Down Hook (08L96-TK6-100A) required on Base Model.

I use short bungee cords crosswise from the rearmost hooks to the tiedowns (i have the sport) or latch hooks for the magic seats. Seems to work well so far.
I thought about pickup the net but I just have trouble justifying the cost they are asking for one.

I like the OEM Honda cargo net because it's also a zippered bag. I didn't really look at my other options before getting it, because it was given to me by my dad. I asked him to price it out for me (he has connections, rock on) and next time I'm talking to him he's handing it to me as a "car warming gift".

The zipper pouch part of it is pretty darn handy, I stash all sorts of things in mine, so if you can find a non-Honda net that does the same thing for less, I would highly recommend considering it.

As for the vertical install, I did an impromptu vertical for about a day, a couple weeks back. I had something I needed to stick in the back that couldn't go under the net, so I did latch it onto the hooks for the magic seats. The clips that come with it are too small to go around the bar, but I'm thinking I should hit REI or something and get some carabiners to use instead when I want to go vertical. Easy mod, and gives me more options.
