Cupholder Mount

Hi y'all! Any experience with cupholder mounts for GPSes or mobile devices? Thanks in advance.

why not mount it to the left corner of the windshield? you're in cali, right? as long as it doesn't obstruct your view it's still legal to mount to the windshield.

cup holder mount sounds interesting though, in for pics/review.

Yes, I have the "RAM Mount" cup holder mount...

Mount - RAM-A-CAN II Universal Cup Holder Mount

The gooseneck is *very* stiff. The mount base has some weight to it so it stays in place.

I place mine in the right most center console cup holder and tuck the wire into the cup holder with the mount on the right side.

I remove the mount when not needed and toss it underneath the back seat out of sight.

The mount works for me but I have the following issues:

-I have to move my eyes quite a ways from the road to view the screen such that my peripheral vision cannot see if something comes up on the road.

-I find I have to focus on the GPS screen for a while to get a picture of it.

I have not tried the mount with the cup holder on the left side yet... that may work better.

I don't want to technically show that I have a mobile device mounted on the windshield as it will immediately attract attention by thieves. A cup holder mount is much more discrete.

This caught my attention -- mCup Macally Peripherals

I appreciate all the responses, bros.
