I have an 08 Fit Sport. It's my DD while my built 05 WRX is my weekend car. I want to mod is slightly with things such as wheels, tint, HIDs, audio, lowering, swaybars, etc....just no motor mods. Before I purchase parts I'd like to know which generation it is. The generation threads confuse me because 1st generation is 01-08 and 2nd generation in 08 and up. From that 08 could be both generations? How do I tell!?

Also, any tips would be appreciated.

The 2008 US model Fit is a "GD."

The GE was released a year earlier in Japan and elsewhere than here in the US and that's why the model designation for the GE includes 08.
