Callin' all photographers please!!!!
Ova time I have noticed that some members are posting some insane shots of their rydes. Just curious.. do you actually do yur photo shootz? I know it a takes tremendous amount of skills and knowing the camera's options/settings well. Considering you have to take into account colors, contrasts, angles related to geometry and so on.
I know good photography is an art into itself as well as the benefits it carries into making a vibrant and brilliant piece of wurk..
Any photographers...step right up..

First can you please stop with the Internet talk, it's rides not rydes and work not wurk. Typing like that makes you look silly and no one know WTH your talking about.
Secondly what are you looking for? Tips on how to take better pics, examples of peoples work or a local photographer to take pictures if your car?

I take alot of my own pictures vinny. I use a Canon DSLR 15.1 MP Rebel. I try not to do any shots in direct sunlight, because this leads to bright shots. It can be done with the above camera by simply turning the exposure done. Location is key for shoots. We spend most of our time looking for a location, and only about 45 mins shooting it.
I have a guy that is very good and shoots my car on occasion as well. He does my rolling shots for me and Primo Location shots.
Photoshop cs5 is also very helpful. This allows you to add or subtract many different things in the pic. Not to mention the OHHH SOOO HOOOOT HDR imaging.
Examples:
This pic was shot in 9 different exposures from low light to high light. Then merged to HDR with photoshop. All 9 pics allow the whites all the way to the blacks to be visible. That is why 9 shots are taken.
This shot as well is 7 different shots in different exposures. All merged together in HDR Pro in photoshop. After it was made into HDR I then cut out the car with one of photoshop tools, inverted it, and desaturated the background. This allows the car to POP and background to only look clean.

Here is another example. This shot was takin in 12 different exposures. All to capture all the many colors in this shot. Notice the rust on the tin roof, the transformers color, the crane, the grass, the sky, and dont forget the car. It was merged together in HDR.

Now how about a different approach. This is a single shot edited in HDR imaging. This allows me to add effects to the shot giving it a truely unique look.

Now lets get real crazy with it and slow down the shutter speed to keep car gorgeous, but yet allow the train that was slowly moving in the background to appear to be flying by the shot. HDR the whole thing.

Rolling shots are done by having two cars. Subject car drives normal, cruise control will help alot. Photo car is driven by one person while camera guy leans out window to take the shots. Camera guy tells driver to speed up or slow down as needed to get the shot.

Hope that helps you VINNY. Good Luck to ya......

+1.. dont overkill the picture. Sometimes more isn't better!
Not a fan of the HDR stuff but it does look nice in moderation. Like Sol says, the less you have to edit a photo, the better. It's all about what you want to convey. A better camera helps as well, but more importantly the choice of lens. I like this site for tips: KenRockwell.com: Photography, Cameras and Taking Better Pictures

Hoyt yur pretty dayum good at it bro....

Keep up the good wurk..

I'm thinking about maybe taking up some courses in photography so I can be at least on the same playing field as some of you guyz.

And thanx for the KenRockwell link too!
That said, if you find a good instructor who isn't biased against one form or another, you can easily learn a lot of the important things to make your shots come out clean from the start. Sure you can fix a lot of things in photoshop to make the images work... but if you learn how to frame your shots, what lighting conditions to look for and the stupid simple things like stopping and taking a breath before you press the shutter button, you won't have to spend all that time learning to fuss in photoshop. ^_^
Also, if you can find a decent tripod, totally invest in it if you're going to take a lot of pictures. One of the few things you can't hide in photoshop is an out of focus or blurry shot, and it doesn't matter how carefully you focus if you can't hold the camera steady when pressing the shutter. I have a cheap point and shoot digital camera myself, haven't had the spare cash to plunk down on a good SLR yet, but I can still turn out nice photos for the family calendars I make every year.
The biggest thing? No matter what equipment you do or don't have available to you, practice every chance you get. The more familiar with your equipment you are, the better chance you have of getting the photos you want out of it.
i'm not great at it but i do like to take pictures. i i took one basic class in high school and that pretty much gave me an understanding of how aperture/ISO/shutter speed and other factors work in relation to each other. the rest of it is checking out examples that you'd like to emulate and just going out to shoot.
and the one thing i wished i started knowing is how to read the light meter. it's quite important so you don't go home to see crappy pics that you thought would turn out awesome when you're out in the field.

Everyone thinks they are a photographer or can be one. Some great shots posted here no doubt. Understanding your camera is one of the best things one can do to become a "better" photographer. I take my own shots, nothing too fancy with a Nikon D40.. but I can take some really great photos! Lots of great tips posted here, so good luck for sure!
