Who is your insurance carrier?

What insurance company are you with and what is your opinion of them?

I have been with Liberty Mutual for over 10 years. I have not had to make any claims so can't judge them on that. The premium seems a little expensive compared to others and I am going to be getting some quotes elsewhere soon.

What has been your experience?

Progressive; been with them 1-1/2yrs, never had a claim so i can't judge them on that, but every time my 6mo renewal comes up the price goes down. paying about $500 every 6mo.

my previous carrier was Amica, they were good but they couldn't compete with Progressives rate.

before that was State Farm, great service but they jacked my rate by more than $500 after someone hit me! I immediately cancelled with them.

comparing costs on insurance means little unless you are comparing apples to apples-cost will vary depending on where you live (crime rates, urban/rural), your age, driving record, etc. & whether you have home owners/renters insurance with same company.

I have had State Farm for 20 years- good service & they paid quickly & fairly to reimburse my 1992 Corolla when someone hit me & totaled my car back in 2000.
we have Progressive on our scooters & premiums have dropped each year (no claims) yet so don't have experience there.

Yes I have heard this as well but unfortunately they have strict rules on who can get their insurance (US Military).

Been with Progressive for only a few months. Had to switch because of my job. My old company (Allstate) did not offer the coverage I needed. I currently pay about $450 for 6 months in Houston. No complaints so far. Had 2 minor claims that were taken cared of quickly (lockout & cracked windshield).
