I don't have a problem with the A/C and power. I mean, I'm not trying to race at a stop light or punch it too hard. On the highway, I drove from San Diego to Riverside on the 15 up and down big hills and didn't notice my cruise control have problems. I think it does pretty good for what you get out of the Fit.

 

i drove 4 people to D.C. 2day with a/c on and still had power on I-495 to get it and out of traffic. got somwhere between 36-37mpg too!
