Rear seat stuck in down position

Hey folks - I have a 2008 FIt Sport, it is my favorite car ever. But one problem: when putting down the passenger side rear seat to carry my (big) dogs in the back, it seemed to go down further than usual, and I heard a " click." Now I can't get the seat back up, into passenger configuration. Usually, I just pull and it comes up; now there's something holding it in cargo position. Am I missing a simple latch or something? OR is it broken? What do I do? A second issue: when the engine is cold, I hear a sloshing sound from behind the dashboard. It mostly goes away when the engine is warm. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

There's a lever on the corner of the seat (backrest shoulder door side) that releases the backrest if you haven't found it yet.

Hi, do you still have the reat seat problem? How did it go? I'm kind of experiencing the same issue?
