Your Doppelgänger Fit

Went to the car wash today--we have a local one where you can use the vacuums for free whether you go through the wash or not.

Just in front of me in the line was the same color & model Fit as mine. The woman popped out of the car and ran up to me and said "Don't you just love your car!" I said I really did- We both had 2010 Sport Fits in Tidewater Blue. TWB seems to be one of the less common colors.

We ended up next to each other by the vacuums and she wanted to know about my Weathertech digital mats & Coverking neoprene seatcovers.
She had the oem rubber ones and complained they slid around. The dealer had not even put in the clips!

She said she had to drive to a dealership in Wyoming to get the color she wanted. My salesman had to do a trade with another dealer to get mine-and I had to wait 3 weeks for it.

Very cool story Susan! Did you tell her about FF?

I haven't seen my Doppelgänger Fit yet, but I'm sure someday I will.

TWB is a pretty cool color. It is worth it to get the color you want. I see a few TW around where I live, but never modded. But it's a different story here in this forum, TW is so common.

I meant same color, year & model as your own. It was weird being right next to another just by chance. I see other Fits on the road around here, mostly silver or dark blue, a few white.
Once in a while I see a red, orange or blackberry. Very rarely do I see black.

Very cool! Good that they were excited over their Fit too.

Other than dealer lot in town, have not seen any other OBM Fits on the road. Surprising, considering that this is Texas Longhorn country and their burnt orange color is very similar to this.

I used to see mine on my way to work everyday. A man in who looks to be around 40 or so. We give each other a nod or slight wave about everytime we see each other. I occasionally see what I assume to be his wife driving it too. She doesn't ever seem to notice my Fit though.

I see more MR Fit's than anything, followed by CBP. I have only seen one other CBM.

But given the low sales volume of the Fit (compared to many other makes/models), it makes sense that they aren't seen that often. Even in the college area I work at, I only see 3 or 4 parked (compared the the numerous Priori, Cobalts, Vibes, etc).
