My miniature schnauzer (I know very small compared to yours) prefers to sit on the floor on the back seat area when the chairs are folded into themselves more than then the seats are flat. I think because she doesn't have great sea legs, haha.

Dog friendly space-wise, fur not soo much but really easy to clean with a my dyson animal! And actually with a blanket down or something of that manner its a great dog friendly car. Especailly after longer hikes fold down the back seats planety of room for a large number of dogs to lay down and sleep.

Same for my two Cairn Terriers. I think they prefer the back seats folded in the "tall" position. It also helps that they only have to jump a short distance in and out. I usually have an old quilt on the floor for them. Also helps with the fur. On a side note; The male always takes the driver's side - forces the female to stay on the passenger side.

We have a wheaten terrier about 35 lbs. she loves the car with the seats folded down, she did chew the back of the seat because she chews everything anyway, but that's ok, she loves the Fit and so do we.
