How do I make the A/C go off when defrost is on

I don't like the fact that my 2012 Fit always runs the A/C when the dial is set to defog. On my last Honda (04 Pilot) I was able to hold down several buttons and rub my head and re-set it so I could turn the A/C off in defog mode.

Does anyone know how to make this change on the FIT.

Apologies from a newbie if this has been addressed a hundred times, but I couldn't find it....

Thanks

J. Calhoun

Thank You

Awesome, A/C mod took 10 minutes (including 5 for head scratching)

For those who don't want to do this mod, I discovered a little trick. When I turn the selector to floor/defrost, and then turn it back towards floor half way, I feel/hear a slight click (This is the point where the compressor is engaged/disengaged). I still get air 50% floor and 50% defrost, but the A/C doesn't run.

Easy/quick mod. I like it in defrost mode most of the time anyways. Don't want it right in my face. Helps with the MPG!
