Estimate for complete paintjo

I'm curious. Just how much is it to completely repaint a Honda Fit. I know this varies greatly between shops but I am asking for a general neighborhood estimate. I would like to repaint my Fit to the Teal Blue Metallic color but if it's too much then ill just grin and bear it.

Have you tried calling a body shop in your area?

Negative. I really don't know of any around here other then Maaco. I hear they charge you out the rear though.

I was on break at work when I posted this thread, was just a quick "Hmm. Wonder what it costs..." kind of deal. So I figured I would slip in a post to see if my Fit brothers had any clue.

My friend had Macco repaint his Accord the same color it was orginially and it cost him about $2,000.00 plus he had to go back like 3 times for them to fix issues where they oversprayed or where he had runs and imperfections in the paint.

$10k. Is that what you wanted to hear?

Pick up the phone because everyone will say a different price and have their own opinion.

If there's nothing wrong with you paint, you really should just grin and bear it.

Any cheap job is going to be sub-par quality, and a good professional job could be 20% of what a new Fit Sport costs.

I'm inclined to agree, Potenza.

Next Fit I get will be the color I want though, not what the dealer has in stock. That was my mistake for getting so excited about a new car.

Were you looking for a Blue Raspberry Metallic or a different teal?

What I would do is have your body panels wrapped instead. If you find a reputable shop, it will be much more affordable, and a good wrap will often look better than a medium priced paint job.

If you change colors, all the door jams, under hood etc look different. Unless you strip the entire car to bare metal, and spray it all at a huge cost.

Cheaper to trade cars to the color you want, and get a new car warranty and zero miles while doing it.
