He must of had a Monday car!

My wife will be in need of a car soon so I started doing the preliminary search for her with one of her prerequisites being that is HAS to be AWD. And being that I hate how MOST AWD's are SUV's that look alike....I thought the Subaru dealership would be a great place to start.

So I'm talking to the salesman and of course bring up my Fit and how much I love it and he tells me how just took a 1 year old Fit in trade because the owner stated he had a real hard time getting up to speed when merging onto the highway.

I say either he had a Monday car or he has no idea how to drive. I'm a conservative driver but when merging into highway traffic (65mph speed limit) I can't begin to tell you how many times I look down and am suddenly doing 85!

Loving my Fit since 2009!

I have to wring every last inch out of First through Third to merge on the highway here since most people are doing ~80+ (ask Goobers haha), I didn't notice it so much till I went back to N/A from the small single I had in 2010.

This is in a mildly modded GD 5MT, with an admittedly heavy driver though.

This is what has her eye so far but I'm sure she'll change her mind 12 more times!

In stock form the Fit can take a bit of time to get up to speed (70+) but I never had any problems getting up to speed on the freeway on-ramps. Now my dads old 3 cylinder Geo Metro hatchback, that was a different story.

I have a stock 07 Fit Sport. I almost always drive with the paddle shifters. I live just outside of Chi-town and cannot remember a time I had trouble merging on the highway. I do however have to agree with DSM. I run 1, 2, & 3 to red. The car is so nimble though, kinda makes it easy to dive into tight traffic.
