Big shout out to Crutchfield!

Purchased an open box Kenwood DNX6990HD navigation receiver for my 2010 base this week from Crutchfield: Car Stereo, Speakers, Home Theater, LCD TV, Digital Cameras. Crutchfield's price was almost $200 less than the local guy, and they included the dashboard face plate piece (not an insubstantial piece of gear), trim pieces, and dashboard tools for NO CHARGE! Everything shipped the day I purchased it, and everything was in perfect order when I got it. Had a few questions on the install, and Crutchfield's customer service and tech support were 100% spot on the money with everything. Their tech support people actually *know* what they're talking about, and were extremely helpful. Once I got my basic questions answered, the install went flawlessly, and I'm **very** happy with the unit so far.

Also installed a center armrest/console storage bit from Honda. Not quite as seamless, as you have to do a fair bit of drilling of plastic, including some not well marked holes in the outside of the unit that made me a little nervous, but all came out well in the end. A big improvement in storage and comfort over the factory console.

All in all, not a bad half-day's work!

crutchfield is great. i recently bought a Pioner AVH-8400BH and the AWSC unit from them, although I know i can find the head unit cheaper elsewhere like amazon and ebay, i opted to pay more just for the support and the easy exchange policy. the install was quite easy for the head unit having previous experience with car stereos before, however the AWSC instructions were alot more confusing. After 3 short phone calls with 3 different techs, they were able to follow up on the progress of the AWSC install and got me going.

I'm still planning on buying an amp and subs, but the price difference between Crutchfield and Sonix is huge. Even with the crutchfield points i earn, i don't think its enough to offset the savings i get from buying from sonix. I don't need the extra support for installing an amp and subwoofer as they are pretty straightforward. Now if they can come to my house, help me rip out all the panels and help me deaden my car, now that would be great.

Crutchfield is amazing. I have baughten 3 decks, 4 sets of speakers, and a sub/amp from them over the years. I have never had any problems from them and even recommended them to my brother and father.

I buy from Crutchfield whenever I can. Their retail store is about 5 miles from where I work. I know that their prices are a little higher than what I can get online, but their service can't be beat.
