Question for you cleaning gurus

Can one use Rain-X on the INSIDE of the windshield, Would it keep it from fogging up, etc? Am cleaning my wife's car and don't see a reason why one couldn't but will wait to read some responses.

Thanks

They used to make the Rain-X anti fog (for the inside windows), I think it's still around. I used to use it, but with mixed results... this was years ago, so not sure if it's gotten better since.

if you use fresh-air mode and a/c it shouldn't fog up.

Question on Rain-X

I've used Rain-X (exterior version) since it came onto the automotive scene in 1975! It was (and still is, superb!) However, as stated by FitStir, the Rain-X Anti-Fog was NOT effective. In the terminology of today, it sucked! I never tried it again. Having said all of that, I WOULD NOT advise use of the exterior version on the inside...as you well know, that is an awful lot of windshield space, and trying to remove it, if things didn't work out.....well!! Just my .02 worth!

They apparently still make the Rain-X Anti-Fog, I saw it at a gas station shop over the weekend, but have no idea if the formula changed... I used it back in the early 90's, probably still have a little bit left in the garage or basement.

I still use the regular Rain-X for the windshield, but I want to try that new Aquapel stuff. From the reviews I've read it seems that stuff lasts longer, and makes water run off at slower speeds, iirc.

these days i just use Prima Hydro over glass too. it's a mist as you dry polymer sealant and beads water on glass well. makes the blades much more effective too.

does not bead water like rain-x while freshly applied, but at 40mph+ i shut off my wipers.
