I have a few dings in my windshield, but my question concerns the little irregularities that catch and hold dirt or lint, and create a sparkly effect when I'm driving into the sun. I also have just a few stubborn water spots.
Any suggestions? I don't have a polisher, just muscle. Thanks!

 

if they are pits, there is nothing really practical you can do to fill them. Save up around $400 for a good windshield replacement

For stuff that's on the glass, use a clay bar if you have it. Or a mr. clean magic eraser if you have that.

 

wat rayteng said. those sound like pits and you will want to replace the glass.


try driving 3sec behind the car in front of you. that will help minimize getting chips on paint and pits on glass.
