Air conditioning in "in town" driving?

Try turning putting it to the recirculation option, if its not already on. If you leave it off of recirculate air still flows through the vents.

It's because car makers decide to make the air intake cover all black!

It pre-heats the outside air and even on an overcast day I can't get cool
air from the outside louvers.

I covered my Celebrity louvers with aluminum to keep snow out and it ran
much cooler. The Fit is too convoluted to cover easily. Besides, us far north owners may get a bonus of more heat in winter. LOL
