Is This Really The New 3rd Generation 2014-2015 Fit

Reserving Judgement, but first thought: Meh.
I just bought the '13 and one of the only things making me question my timing was the pending redesign. Thought maybe they'd release it and I'd kick myself for buying the outgoing model. However, I am absolutely in LOVE with my Fit, and if this is the replacement, I am happy because I'm not loving it. The taillights are goofy looking and it does look a bit like a minivan (not that there's anything wrong with that).
I'll reserve final judgement for when the full design is unveiled, but if this is for real, not a great first impression.

Add in the fact that the US version will have at least 6-8 inches more front overhang and about 5 inches of rear overhang to meet US bumper standards, and you have one ugly car. Probably bigger and heavier on the outside and smaller on the inside, too.
As Uncle Gary always says, "life's too short to drive ugly cars."

The new Ford Fiesta ST comes with 197 HP and still gets 35 mpg on the highway.
The fit is great for its versatility, but there seem to be limited engine mods to increase power so I if someone is looking for more of a hot hatch then the Fit doesn't work quite as well. The GTI or newer Fiesta ST may be a better choice. Giving a faster version would get more people to take a second look at what most people consider a economy car.

Honey Badger DON'T CARE!
The Type R is looking pretty nifty. I wonder why they don't just put in a the 1.8L and tune it towards gas milage. One less engine to manufacture and better if not the same gas milage.
