Me i Like it very much, my 2007 blue Fit is doing fine for now, i'll keep it for another 3-4 years, since it is paid and i have less than 88 000 km on it (55 000 miles for you non metric user :-) ) BUT i really find it cool look interior and exterior, really awesome. Now i can't wait to hear if they will bring the RS hear, i hope with all the ST and minis and Sonic turbo. they better do it. I will prefer a non turbo high revving honda engine to a turbo ford... ( BUT that said that fiesta St look so good and must be a blast, but in really life use fit versatility beat them all. something like 150 hp 1.5L, revving over 7000 rpm hehe will be cool and enough power to have fun. i don't need more :-)

It's not bad, but I like the GE8's much better...maybe I'm still into that non-choppy styling. This thing makes the EP3 look good, which is not good.

I will wait to see the car in person or the official USA version before really forming a opinion but I figure I still got 175,000 more miles to go on my current Fit before replacing it approximately 5 to 6 years.

I heard that fuel economy is with author engine shut off at full stop, the restart when the clutch is pushed ... With an automatic ... Not sure how it restarts, pressing the gas?

I heard this feature won't be used in US models.

2013 last of Japan for US. Staring summer 2014 US Fits ship here out of Mexico.

The taillights are goofy looking and it does look a bit like a minivan (not that there's anything wrong with that).

I'll reserve final judgement for when the full design is unveiled, but if this is for real, not a great first impression.
I'm exactly in your shoes with a 2013 Fit Sport MT. I feel ok since 3rd gen Fits coming out of Mexico. We got last round of Japan built Fits (for US market).

I really dont like the idling stop function, come on when you dont want it to and often doesnt work when you are stationary for a long time, killer is it will only idle stop for a few minutes before firing the engine back up automatically anyway (even if you are still stopped) I guess its to make sure the battery doesnt get too low or something?

anyway to answer your question the auto will randomly idle stop when you come to a complete stop and the brake pedal is fully depressed. will fire the engine up as you come off the brake pedal.

there is a button to turn it off if you dont want it doing it but annoyingly it resets to 'on' every time you restart the car. (my main issue is you cant turn it off and have it stay permanently off)

Does the "new Fit' remind anyone of a Hyundai Accent hatch? When I first saw the photos, that's what I thought. Has kind of a similiar shape. I think I'm like a lot of others, would love the engine & tranny and all that in a 2013 Fit.

I think it looks a lot like a nissan note

although having them on the road here for a few months now and have got pretty used to the looks, it has how ever made the GE look pretty dated.

The new fit is lighter, stiffer, has more room inside. All round better chassis wise than the older model so I don think I would bother swapping the running gear into an older model. Maybe face swap the GE face on to the new chassis would be a better move? LOL

Has anyone else noticed that the new fit is far more reminiscent of the GD3. I like the GE8, in fact I almost bought a white 2013 last year.Had it not been for a sales person lying to me about saving it I would have it. In retrospect I think the GD3 has aged far better than the GE8.The GD3 has a funky kind of style and charm to it that I feel the GE8 lost with all of it's smoothing over and so called refinement. I suspect the next generation fit will be a bigger hit than the GE8 because it already seems to have that funky higher quality charm that imho is inspired by the GD3.

Anyone know if the 2015 Fit will be available in White - Sport with an interior color other than black? I have a 2013 White Sport with black and it's awful. I live at the beach and you can see the sand and my long light brown hair is always all over the car.

My other beef is the lack of intermittent wipers options. Either on low, high or one int. options. This is truly an inconvenience.

You want to get a set of Clazzio seat covers. They are leather/vinyl. Easy to keep clean.

There is a mod you can do to replace the wiper stack with another one with the intermittent wipers.

My Clazzios - they are black not the grey in the poor pic.
