I hope the C&D pic is wrong. I can fit (no pun intended) my German Shepard in the the current model behind the back seat in the up position. Slanting that back window might push me into another car. I agree more power and better fuel economy would be nice. we don't get the electric model in my state.

That Type-R is not bad, but all the other models are ugly. Dunno who designs newer cars nowadays.

It's definitely a reworking of the European 9th-generation Civic hatch - this is evident on the front end. The colors are different and there's a nip-and-tuck on the smaller car but the basic lines are the same.

Not a fan of the Focus-hatchback-aping taillights, but otherwise I like it. Now if Honda can keep the inevitable weight gains low...

Posted this in the other thread, paint colors are, L-to-R, top then bottom:
Vivid Sky Blue Pearl
Attract Yellow Pearl
Alabaster Silver Metallic
Light Beige Metallic
Crystal Black Pearl
Milano Red

New hatch looks really weird, 'bout the only thing I like on it is the new style of rims, but they're not that great.

I don't care for the front grille, headlights, and that silver trim strip across the front. Don't like the rounded back either. (Hate the entire back end too). I do like the wheels, front roll pan and the foglights. I understand the Fit needs to evolve and maybe the look will grow on me. But for now, I'll stick with my GE.

The picture looks out of focus the rear wheels are turning in. The back pictures makes it look like a Volvo.

Word from my JDM honda design team source indicates that the '14 Fit will be featured in the next 6 movies of Twilight replacing the Volvo C30 sponsorship.

J/K!

This is exactly what I thought, except I think that Volvo (the C30) actually doesn't look that bad, whereas this Fit design looks atrocious.

And I don't commonly think positively about Volvos...

If they diminished any significant amount number of cf. of cargo space... we won't be buying another. That was the clincher for me. How much you can actually FIT in your FIT. Take that away? Psh... It's like when Apple came out with the Mac Mini so they could say there was a mac for <500$us, now it starts at 579 with a student discount! I would own a mac mini by now if it stayed true to the original concept.

Well, they may have added hp, but if they added any significant amount of weight... it'll be a wash...

It's like BMW bulking up its entire lineup, then coming out with the 1 series, which is essentially the same size as an old 3 series... what's the point exactly?

I can't wait for monsanto to come out with a turnip that looks like a carrot

I'll wait to see the full shipping US specs on the website before even bothering to give one a ride.

Agree with a lot of the minor stuff that other people like or dislike. It's the big picture for me, I have absolutely no loyalty to Honda or a model that is greatly changed, only to FF.net! Still, you can bet I won't be making an account on Focus/Fiesta/Whatever Freak .net anytime soon. Those things are horrible. Got one for a rental earlier this year on a trip (wanted the Fiat 500 instead, but didn't work out)... WTF–– doesn't shift, or unlock doors... That's all I can say about Ford's latest economy competitor. Unfortunately that first pic looks kinda like one b/c of the beltline (IMHO)... DOH!
EDIT: looking at some of those other posted pics, yes, the front and back both have problems... including, IMHO, looking more American-Ford-like.

I'm not hating these newer pics. I'm relieved to see that the back looks better than in earlier pics. However, I'm not liking that line on the side or the grill. The line looks like a cheap attempt at adding style or something.
