Question I need a favor

I'm a paraplegic and im trying to find out how many inches it is from the ground the seat. Have not been lucky to find a FIT at my dealer. I transfer into the 06 civics just fine from my chair. Try to let me no in inches. Thx in advanced... Means alot.

I just measured it and it is roughly 24 inches from the ground to the seat. I hope this helps!

Des,

If you could just enter well on a 06' civic, then you'll definitively would be FINE in a Fit. the civic is more difficult to enter, the Fit, a kake.

Hope this is useful for you....

I think the doors open wider on the Fit than a civic, no?

Ive actually had a older lady in a wheelchair as a customer and she was able to transfer from the wheelchair to the Fits seat with no problems.

as I commented many weeks ago - I gave a ride home for a friend who uses a wheelchair - he told me it was very, very easy for him to get in and out - and there was a lot of room for his folded up chair in the right hand rear seat "tall" mode. The doors open very wide and there was a lot of support to lift himself in to and out of the seat.

did he use a transfer board. i wanna make sur the board is as level as possil or mill be trying to go up hill to get in the car. my mom has 06 tl and that's perfectly level seat2seat with my chair. the ext fit the get here is a white sport on Sept. 10th. Thx for everyones help again. and also. my wheelcahir is a sport chair. titanium..rigid..meaning it doesnt collapse. in the civic coupe all me stuff fit up front in thge pax seat. i pu the wheels on the floor (26in Spinergy's) and then the seat cushion and chair sat in the seat. question is...is the fit as wide up front up front or wider as A CIVIC coupe?

My friend did not use any board - he lost his feet/lower legs in a hang-gliding accident but is otherwise in pretty good shape. He was able to haul himself into and out of the car with his arms. If your chair does not collapse you may have a problem with the Fit - in "Tall Mode" with front seats all the way forward you get about a 20" wide space in the rear seat area. You could go to "cargo" mode with the rear seats folded down flat. Too many variables here to know without actually checking all the possible configurations and your particular chair...
