I know we are all biased....

....and we love our Fits but think about it. With everything the Fit offers such as:

1. Comparatively cheap purchase price.
2. Fuel economy
3. Fun to drive
4. Cargo room
5. Accessories to match most cars

Is there any other car out there that offers so much for so little?

I suppose you could make a case for the 1st gen Scion xB. But that car got bloated in the next gen, kind of lost the subcompact vibe and turned into a 3/4 scale SUV.

Just like one of the Mini Coopers. It rivals my wife's RAV4 in size.

A lot depends on what you're looking for in the vehicle. Where the Fit really shines is in the cargo carrying capabilities and the adaptability of the interior. Many other smallish hatchbacks offer similar milage, at least as decent handling, and nicer interiors, but most lack the utility of the clever folding seats.

The Kia Soul comes to mind as a vehicle that offers broadly comparable features, albeit with rather a...different...sense of style, and with somewhat lower fuel economy.

For a larger vehicle, the base models of the Dodge/Plymouth Grand Voyager are quite a good deal—lots and lots of room, decent power and refinement, and the $20K price tag is pretty hard to beat. Their milage and handling aren't anywhere near those of the Fit, of course, but are respectable for the size and capability of the minivan.

If it weren't for the great cargo capacity and general utility function, I would have probably gone with a Yaris SE, Mazda2 or Fiesta.

I think the Scion xD comes close, its cheap and its pretty roomy for the type of car it is.

I agree with 13fit, but if we're talking about all cars ever made there's a ton more to add.

New cars? Absolutely none with 5/5, and i'm not being biased because I own one, i'm not a Honda loyalist by any means.

The closest modern car I can think of that offers what the Fit has the R56 MINI (Just-A-) Cooper and (Just-A) Clubman. Sure, you'll pay a slight premium due to it being a MINI/BMW product but if you look at the OEM accessories and the aftermarket support for them, it has the advantage over the Fit hands down... BUT you'll be sacrificing cost (both initial and maintenance), reliability, and practicality for a slightly smaller 4 seater with independent rear suspension, rear discs as standard and 6 speed transmissions for both manual and auto models.

I wouldn't mind an R56 Just-A-Cooper or an R56S (Cooper S) but I'm not too big into all the gadgets and technology that they have excluding being able to relearn your own TPMS system to accept new sensors. To me the price difference when new between an A/T '08 GD3 Sport (MSRP 16,7xxx new) and '08 R56S (MSRP 21,5xxx) isn't justifiable since the difference was around 5 grand... for a more powerful yet less practical car.

Generally speaking at the time, one could get the Kraftwerks supercharger kit and do a little suspension work to have a car that is almost similar in nature but would be voiding the Fit's warranty in the process (if it were new/on warranty still).

I'm not sure about that fuel economy on the FIT... yes drive like granny, you may get good mileage. Spirited driving and watch that mpg dive to mid/upper 20s

Yes I can vouch for that. Spent a little time up in gmr and azusa canyons and my 53 mile avg mpg was a horrendous 22mpg.
