MT FTW. Personally hate the shift map on the auto for the fit. at least on the GD (my lil bro has one). I realy enjoy the MT on my GE. Its also notchy like a nissan's "bolt-action" type shift.

Thanks! And yes I love the purple! However my wife does not :-(. Lol IMA go tafetta white due to this hell hole devils crotch state I live in that loves to melt its inhabitants known as Texas. I remember my white 09 cooling better and quicker than my polish metal one. I do love the milano red and vortex blue a lot too though!Torn on color!!! Uggh

Get a Midnight Plum Pearl anyway and bring it home dirty so the wife doesn't initially notice it... or claim they didn't have any other color in stock that day.

Or Blue Raspberry... maybe.

She says...."I don't care what color u get, just no black, and that teal and purple looking black colors are no gos too! Ugggh. I love the purp , I think its beautiful! Lol. It'll be a white one I'm 99.7% sure. Lol

Good news you stood your ground and got a new car out of it. If you still have your old one write a note telling of the problem and leave it hidden in the manual or somewhere so the person that ends up with it will have a heads-up.

I'm not 100% sure but in the case of his old GE8 American Honda would pick it up, diagnose the issue, fix it and remarket the car.

That's awesome. And I was the one telling you to take your lumps and just trade it.

Can you summarize the steps you took with approx dates? Don't bother if it's any trouble. It might help others if they have a similar problem to see clearly what you went through.

Glad everything got corrected. Surprise that the dealer has multiple color Fits with manual transmission. When I got mine I had to basically take what color they could get based on a list of preferred colors. Of course red was last and that was what I ended up with with a manual transmission. But now I am kind of glad. I wanted white.

Good luck.

thats great glad things have worked out for you.I'm sure you will be happy with your new Fit.I have 30K on my 2012 and I'm getting 30-32 mpg and this is almost all city driving.

I'm talking about 98% city stop and go traffic in Los Angeles and a little spirited canyon runs on weekends

Awesomesauce! great choice.

Let me know if you are interested in my version of the PRM intake! Cost me 15 on ebay and gave me quite a bit of throttle response!

Thanks to everyone's advice and support! I am the proud new owner of a taffy white 2013 fit sport. I notice a huge improvement in cabin noise. Its much quieter. I drove home and averaged 37.8mpg!!! according to the mpg counter! I never seen my prior one read that! So suffice to say I am very very thrilled and happy with Honda of Spring! Thank you to sales manager Mike Capps, my awesome finance guy Neal Pratt, and my original salesperson Shawn Rahimi. All went above and beyond to make things right and make this happen. Phenomenal job I applaud them. So if u have a constant problem, don't give up! There is light at the end of dark tunnels! If anyone has any questions regarding procedure feel free to pm me. I'll be glad to help as much as I can. Just remember BE NICE to the dealers about it, and due diligence and patience is key!

No. They had allll colors avail in automatic. But only one manual and it was teal. Sorry but no. Its cool. Just not me. Plus it was a base model. So I just said screw it. Grabbed the taffy white autotragic sport. If I have my way about it in 5yrs I'll be swapping a k-series anyways!! Then I'll be manual and fast!! Haha

Manual transmission is getting harder to find in any car model. Used to be automatic was an option that you had to order. I like the fit in white the car comes off classy. I wanted white but could not get a manual.
