Re-painting a Fit

Hi -
I'll be purchasing a second-hand Fit soon. I've looked at a couple and one thing stands out: they both have tons of chipped paint with bare metal showing. Yikes! A search of this forum indicates that soft paint is indeed a problem with the Fits, and Hondas in general.

Would need to repaint hood and roof (I was quoted 600 - 800) on both those Fits. Any issues repainting? Will the new paint be better than the old paint?

Thanks!

that's a question for your bodyshop to answer. also check out vinyl wrapping your roof. you will need to smooth out all the chips first, but it might be cheaper.

Depends on the paint you use and how much you pay. Pay cheaper, get cheaper paint that will chip easier.

Ask user Nicotine. He just repainted his entire fit, and he also lives in Ontario.
