Place to order crush washers?
Hello.
Can anyone recommend a place where I can order cheap crush washers? I know there are bags of 50 available from amazon but I what am I gonna do with 50?!
I know rockauto sells them also but they the shipping is expensive if you don't bundle it with other products. Thanks for suggestions!

I am obsessive about oil changes but have never replaced the copper washer when doing a change.. I anneal the one that came on my car in 2006.. Use a propane torch or the burner on a gas stove to heat it until it begins to glow, let cool and reuse.

They are like 1.50 before taxes. Probably about 2$. Ridiculous. It's a washer! Napa sells em for more than a buck a piece. I'd rather just get a little bag and be done with it but 50 is overkill!
I used to get filters (Honda Filtech!) from College Hills Honda Genuine Honda Accessories at Discount Prices - Authorized OEM Honda Accessories Dealer , washer is included. I have a Fomoto valve, so I don't use 'em anymore.

I would definitely use Honda filters but I'd rather get something better quality for about the same price. On my next oil change, I'm installing some Mobil 1 extended life filters.
or... WASHER, DRAIN PLUG (14MM) - Bernardi Honda Parts and Accessories / WASHER, DRAIN PLUG (14MM) for HONDA |94109-14000 ?
Good call man. I would install a fumoto valve in a heartbeat but the undercarriage of my car scrapes over tons of snow and ice in the winter so I'm afraid of having a valve that sticks out from the pan.

I'm on Swift Springs.
You could just decide to use those washers elsewhere.

I have the Fumoto valve and it doesn't scrape. I have more issues with other things scraping.

I checked your link and they want 9$ shipping to a US address for 5$ worth of washers. I might try at the hardware store like Home Depot. They must have loads of washers. As long as it's aluminum and reasonably thick it should do the job.
The crush washer they sell at Canadian Tire are the not so nice ones with a rubber ring around the middle. I've heard those are not as good quality as the aluminum ones. Napa used to see me those until a guy looked up my car in his computer and it didn't recommend that type of washer.

Yea but fumoto warns about the nipple type valve on low sports cars. My fit is neither but I drive over some crazy ice. I just couldn't bare the thought of my valve braking or opening. Montreal sucks with snow clearing in parking spaces. When I park my car is so crooked you'd think two wheels where on jack stands!

I just buy the 5 pack aluminum crush washers from Autozone/O'Reilly... it's like $2.50? I'm sure they have an equivalent store in Canada. Just get the ones for Honda plugs it's usually in the description, it's just the diameter that defines it.
There's nothing wrong with those washers with the rubber ring, just get those. I've had those on several cars without an issue and I actually never or rarely changed it.

In any case... The location is pointing almost straight back.
Could something damage it? Yes, if you backing up and ran over a signpost that sprung up under the middle of your car or something.
As long as you install it with the valve handle on the upside (add a washer! If needed), you're more likely to bash your oil pan before coming close to breaking the valve.
Once installed, it never needs to come off. So, if you used a washer to orient it as needed, that washer stays put, doesn't need replacing.
And yes, i have run over plenty of crap on the road... Hitting my subframe, muffler, exhaust pipe and who knows what else, but not the oil pan or the valve.
