Battery with a Bad Cell

I've never had a battery that had a bad cell, so I wanted to share my video of how my '15 EX tries to start.

I hope this helps anyone else who might run into this problem. I've had my car 4 days and this started this morning. The dealer replaced the battery for me under warranty.

Wow! That is EXACTLY what I experienced on Monday, November 24th, 2014. I had arranged to take my car in to my dealer for an issue with HondaLink and that morning, the battery was nearly dead. I had driven the car the morning before. Purchased the car on October 7th and never had a problem. I had been using the seat heater in my 2015 Fit EX-L the Sunday morning before and left the driver's side seat heater switch in the Low power position, then shut off the car. And Monday morning as I prepared to leave, I was shocked to find the car battery nearly dead. Glad you had the presence of mind to capture the event. There is another thread on the site running about bad battery cells in the new 2015 Fits. I'm not sure that's what happened to mine, but the symptom you captured is exactly what I saw - the flashing and clicking as you tried to start the car. A precursor of the event was that I noticed that the keyless entry failed to work, and I had to press the keyfob to unlock the car. That may have been the first indicator of a weak battery.
