Just because there isn't a flat metal resting place doesn't mean you can't rest your foot their...I use the hump as a "dead pedal" most the time on long commutes.

The hump on the Accord wagon was close to the door and tucked back under the dash (where the button for the headlights' high beam used to be on older cars) so that I couldn't rest my foot on it unless I held my leg at an odd angle with my knee against the door -- terrible for long drives. And I'm short! The Fit allows me to rest my foot flat on the floor.

i had a wagon... i thought there was a dead pedel. but not hard justg like a bumpy ruber thing
