Smart key question

Is there a way to use smartkey without depressing the brake?

If you use it without your foot on the brake it won't start the motor but will turn on the power/accessories.

That's correct, if you press the Start button once without your foot on the brake, it will be in Accessory mode. If you press it again it will turn the ignition on (but not the engine) and you will have access to all the electronics. Additionally, in this mode you will be able to shift the tranny. That's actually how I move the car out of the garage, for instance if I want to wash it or sweep the garage, and don't want to start the engine. Just out of curiosity, what are you looking to accomplish, why are you asking?
