15K Service on new used 2015
I just bought a used 2015 Honda Fit EX. American Honda used the car for various duties and at 10K sold it to one of their employees. The employee is now expecting another kid next week and sold the Fit so he is buying an Odyssey. The Fit just reached 15K miles.
CARFAX reported the car in for service at 4,664. Employee bought the car at 10K (12/09/14) and can't remember if he changed the oil or not. I had the Fit inspected by Honda Service prior to purchase - all was good. The only thing "negative" was 65% front brakes. The oil minder say 30%.
My question is - Should I schedule a 15K service now or wait until the oil needs changing? Thanks

There is no 15,000 mi service scheduled for a Fit. Service is based on the maintenance minder percentage of useful oil life remaining. Service could
at various miles depending on how the car is used.
Anyway if the Honda dealer told you to bring it in for a 15k service, ignoring the maintenance minder they are wrong. When the maintenance minder
reads 15% or less the minder shows what services are needed. If your minder reads 30% it isn't necessary to bring it in, unless it's been a year since
the last service.
This information is explained in the owners manual.

Thanks Clifton for taking the time to explain. My past car history didn't include a Minder so I was thinking in terms of 15k, 30k, 60k, etc. The Honda mechanic told me to watch the wrench. And yes, I should have read the manual regarding maintenance service as much as I have referencing it for my Audio/Information screen questions.
