Looking for five more inches

I am looking for a way to slide the driver seat back five inches further than it will go right now.

Why you might ask? Well, in the current configuration with all things slid back as far as possible, my foot is put in just the right configuration to cramp horribly. I currently drive with out my shoe on my right foot, as this helps to improve the angle at which my foot is placed in but it has not aleviated the probelm entirely.

I would be thrilled if I could purchase a set of brackets that use the existing mounting holes and would allow me to use the existing seat.

Honda Help Me Please!

Aren't we all looking for just a few more inches....
Oh thats not what we're talking about.

I haven't looked at the seat mechanism closely but maybe you can just make an offset where the seat bolts to the rails or where the rails bolt to the floor.

Wow. I met a gal who is 6'7" (yep, that's right she's six foot seven) and she drives a fit. Says its the only current car she's found with enough room.

How tall are you?!

The problems with leg position do not always relate to height. I am 6'2", my father is 5'10" or so (shrinking old man) and he will have the seat further back than I will due to cramping of his legs for comfort.....but I am more comfortable forward.

The 2009 redesigned fit will be adding on inches. Not sure how much though.

Don't hold your breath. You are messing with the crash standards. and Honda isn't likely to do that. But it can be done fairly easily.
