Only reason I ask is because the dealers here NEVER have a 185/55/16 in stock and if they do its super expensive. Hence why When I needed new tires on it I went with 195/55/16 .. Much more common and cheaper...

Now about the 205/55/16... I LOVE the General altimax arctic winter tire, and have had them over the past 5 years on previous cars, but the only size them make in a 16" wheel would be 205/55/16... Tires will be used for the next 6 months and pulled off in the spring, and I will replace them with a new set of summer fronts

Thanks , I didn't know if the 205 would be to wide on the turning from point to point, but it only seems to be 3/4" difference in width. And the diameter variance is only +0.25% so everything should be good. I should really just get 14-15" steelies, to avoid this problem every year. So, that said. Any suggestions on where to buy them for a good price?
