Can anyone tell me if a 2009 sport model rear hatch will work on a base model Fit? I need to replace my hatch and have found a used one from a sport model with no rear key hole. Thanks

 

I'm using a sport hatch on my 09 base, so yes. You can buy an oem keyfob for cheap and use that as well.

 

Thanks for the confirmation. I assume there would be other modifications required other than getting the OEM key
fob correct?

 

You'll probably need to adjust the strike plate/latch/whatever it's called. If you still have your old hatch, strip everything off of it in case you need it. There might be something you'll need to do so the door ajar light doesn't stay on, I forget.
