Milano Red regrets?

I'm considering Milano Red for my next Fit, but am having second thoughts after reading so much stuff about Milano Red fading. Any Milano Red owners regret their color choice? Are the fading issues blown out of proportion? Fake news? lol

The paint on my 2007 Milano Red looks like new. No special treatment - take it to a quality car wash 4 or 5 times a year. Keep it in garage when not driving.

If you like the color, I think you can buy it without worrying about fading.

My 2012 Milano Red Sport's paint job looks like new. It's never been garaged.

where in the USA do you live? cause there is a huge difference between living in a desert and living in a wet area where there is a lot of rain.

i owned a red car once and it faded pretty bad after a few yrs in LA.. bumper faded first. then my interest faded next. never bought another red car.

How often were you waxing it?

Love the milano red but yes, it does require some attention and maintenance. Wash and wax regularly. My Milano red was in so-so condition due to the previous owner just washing it....sometimes.

I did a full wash, clay bar, compound, polish and wax and it looks good as new. Wash every other week and wax once a month. My car is typically outside, but when its freshly washed it gets car cover treatment for a few days.

Did a thread about my detail and headlight restore earlier this year.

I think most people will get tired of their car before it fades to the classic Milano Pink. My del Sol is definitely faded a bit, but unless you park it next to a new red car, you wouldn't notice. And that's 21 years old!
