So my 2007 Fit sacrificed itsself....
Heading to work last Tuesday, I was heading into the sun. When I looked up from lowering my visors, I saw a work truck stopped in my lane a few car lengths ahead. I braked as hard as I could and swerved to avoid the truck. The passenger side of the Fit took the brunt of the impact. Swerving saved me from more serious injuries. Pics are below.

The truck that I hit was one of those work trucks with the bumper that's three feet off the ground and made of steel I-beam section. That's why it's lucky that I swerved. That could have ended up in my chest.
if he didnt swerve probably hit the back end of the truck with his face.
I wont argue with anyone's logic, as I am not their daddy, nor will I try to change their stance on things as their personal driving habits.... but .... here's some something I'd like to share. Please take it with a grain of salt.... it is the internet:

Yes swerving is bad but if he didn't swerve then I think he may have died or been in the hospital for a while. Swerving to avoid a dog, fox or deer can be more dangerous.
In my state if you rear end someone it is your fault, unless you can prove otherwise which is very difficult.
