recon?
recon?
Just got my skunk2 coilovers in today. UPS delivered it 2 days soon then scheduled! wish they did that all the time...
so Im wondering, my rims dont come in for a few months anyway, how do I go about getting recon and what do I have to make sure so I dont have to waste time getting it approved?
something about 4 inches of clearance on the front and 2 inches of travel? i really have no idea.

you have to make an appointment, 22" from ground to center of the headlight, set you coilovers super soft cuz they do a bullshit bounce test, no broadway mirrors, aftermarket pedals, have legal tint, stock lights and if you get your rims afterwards, you have to do it again
they did away with the rim bull.. cause my auntys husband was goin to get recon for his suv with 22's on it and they said rims are no longer a recon thing. if u get custom spring rate u might not be able to pass recon.
just make sure that u have all your paper work cause the alighnment one is the biggest one cause without that u will not pass...

Just to go a bit more into detail about that, the printout from the alignment must be no older than 30days, and specs must be within manufacture's tolerances.

Except if you get stopped by police and they see recon sticker they can ask for your papers and if you current mods don't match your recon papers then you get a ticket. And you have to recon again or remove the mods.
everything passed!
....except for my super yellow headlights hehe. didnt have time to swap them out. but thats the only thing the guy said i have to change. i was really worried about the pro-cs being too stiff and not passing whatever bounce test thing. im not sure if even did it or not i was busy filling out paperwork, all i saw was he brought out a ruler, but i measured that beforehand and its way above the 22inches. my license plate was 11inches off the ground but i read somewhere that they got rid of that rule. im thinking as long as your car is not slammed they dont care about the bounce test bs.
