Any Manual Trans Milano Red for 2020?
Any Manual Trans Milano Red for 2020?
My mom has decided too late that she liked very much the fit we drove last year and is determined to get a manual transmission Fit (preferably with a sunroof in Milano Red). Of course at this point, there is NOTHING out there but CVT in the "new" category in her color, so we're trying to decide if we should be looking in earnest for a used one in the near future as the leases come back for sale as certified pre-owned or wait for 2020 models to get a new one.
t Mom's is concerned that everyone is phasing out of the manuals all together, so might not be offered in the configuration she wants. How soon will we know what color and trim options will be offered with the Fit in 2020? And what are the chances she will be able to get one with a sunroof in Milano Red (which,I guess means the EX unless the Sport has the top too - but she said the Sport will only be a manual offering in blue)?
I'm thinking it would be a good idea to start looking for a low mileage manual ex from 2017 up right now if they don't have plans for what she wants in 2020. She'll be better off with a used one with all the things she wants than a new one with only SOME of what she's looking for. I know she's willing to give on the Sun/moonroof thing, but she really enjoys that feature a lot. I never used to open mine at all, but she actually gets rain in her car for forgetting that hers is always open. Blue might be ok, but she really likes how cute it is in red. I just want her to be happy with it, so I figured I would poke around and see what I could find out for her...

If you want a rare option — go beyond what the local dealers have available. Search listings in surrounding states plus even those far away. Yes you will have to buy sight unseen but that is low risk with a new car these days honestly. Even if you have to ship it, if it’s going to a local dealer it should only cost a few hundred $. I know this all sounds like work but it might mean you find a car Inna month vs never.
Seems like Honda will be one of the last to get rid of manuals but you are right they’re getting rare and I’m seeing oems stack the MT at the end of yearly production. Could be worth checking out Civics too, Hyundai Kona, accent ...

Your dealer is either lazy and doesn't want to find the vehicle or there really isn't any 2019 red MT Fit in the country. Find another dealer and have them search.
