i got mine for invoice. then i got the low jack and the extended warrantee (7yr/120k) and something else, then taxes and destination fee. and it came out to be 18300 otd. i think i got ripped but i was in a hurry to get a new car so i didnt care about the extra money i paid.

but now that i think about it...man i could have gotten something better for the price. but im still happy with my fit.

08 Fit Sport, Auto, Blackberry Pearl, all weather mats, cargo tray, and leather interior - $17800 @ 6.99% APR.

I found this online article to be very interesting, and gives both tips and insight into the car buying process:

Confessions of a Car Salesman

I used the internet method, playing 5 dealers against each other via email. While I didn't go for the throat (under invoice), I could have if I had had more time and interest.

is this a good price

hey, is this a good price?

2008 Sport (doesn't matter color, they have them all) for $17,8xx.xx OTD? Taxes is ridic, so before t/t (but after destination), is $16.5K, which is okay. There's 5 dealers nearby though, so you think I can try to negotiate for lower?

p.s. what have ppl been getting as perks/extras? I'm thinking of getting the Honda Care ($850-doubt they'll lower that) but maybe cargo related items and the all-weather mats I'm hearing about? and aren't tint window's standard or do you have to request them, and do you usually get them free, if not how much is reasonable? TIA

i got them to give me paint protection, undercarriage, interior protection, and alarm system for 650$, thats more than half of what they were trying to charge me for it the first time they offered it. im sure you can talk em down.

but they snuck in a charge of like 250 or 350 for mudguards for my sport!(which they dont have and i never got...)

Okay I think I have you guys beat My mom is the vp of Vystar credit union here in Jacksonville. I went to the newly opened Mercedez dealership where I saw my Fit. Was an 07 Fit sport with tint and sport rims. My mom opened a new loan account for the dealership and I walked out the door tax tag and title for only 13k even. I put five down and just refinanced after only having it for 2 months. Put another 3k down. So I owe 5k at 2.9% I just turned 20 and the Fit is almost mine!

Paid 14.9 for Sport Manual '08, for the car. Out the door inc ttl etc was 16.4. That was with no accessories. I figured i'll buy mats and a tint separate. They tried to sucker me on that dumbass corrosion sound deadening crap and I pointed out the car wasnt made in the 70s or 80s and that quieted them.

Talking

I got my Fit Sport Manual for $16,600 out the door with free wheel locks. I drove 120 miles to get it in Vivid Blue Pearl because San Diego was out of Fit's!

I already got all 9 windows tinted and all season floor mats plus trunk mat, my newest mods! Fit is less than 2 weeks old!!
