Question about insurance (fender bender)

This weekend I backed into a car when I was leaving Burger King. The other car had no damage whatsoever, but I will have to replace my rear bumper. My deductible on my car is $1000, so I'll be paying this out of pocket.

My question is this - do I even need to report this to my insurance company? The police came and filled out a report, but they never asked to see my insurance information. Will the PD be able to find who my insurance company is and tell them about the accident? Or will they just finish their report and forget about it? I'm afraid if I DO report it then my premium is going to go up, and I'm already paying a ridiculous amount as it is (~$200 a month).

No need or reason to report it your insurance.
