i just got this camra the other day and the display screen will not work if i go to look at the options it will show them and i can take pictures but when i wanna look at what im taking pictures of its not showing anything. is there somthing im missing or an option that is not on? 900$ and this is gonna be junk? BS

 

I've got a k10, it will not show a live view like a point and shoot. Being a Single Lens Reflex it has a mirror in front of the sensor until you press the shutter, the mirror directs what the lens sees to the viewfinder. After you have taken a pic, you can review it on the LCD. All SLRs work this way with the exception of the newer Olympus models, they use a prism to split the light to the viewfinder and the sensor.

 

ooo so it will not show me what im looking at when im trying to take a pic like other cheaper camras will? i find it hard to believe that it will not show what you are taking a picture of on the screen >.< so i have to look thro that little window old school style? lol

 

you know what never mind i see how it works not gonna take a little getting used to but i can get it see this is the fist good camra i have ever had so new to the not having an image in the lcd screen. thanx for the help

i didn't think a 900 dollar camera would do that.
