What a day!
I had the windshield in my '09 Fit replaced this morning ($0 deductible glass coverage
). It had a 1" crack when it happened, and over a foot long crack by the next day, due to a 65 degree temperature swing.
Fortunately, no aftermarket glass is made for it yet, so I received an OEM windshield, via the local Honda dealer. I asked what it would cost if I had to pay for it out of pocket, and it was about $770.
Earlier in the week I had received my parts to install a Yakima rack on the Fit, as well as on my pop-up cabover camper. I spent most of today planning, measuring, planning some more, marking, measuring again, and drilling
holes for the mounts.
All turned out well, and now maybe I'll get some use out of that kayak I bought a couple of years ago!
I digress.
I now sit in a comfy chair, with a cocktail, ready to spread some Rep!
