Okay, here's a q for all of you wheel whores.

I know nothing about rims. I want to get the ones that are black in the middle and have a ring of chrome on the outside. They are everywhere these days, but I need to know a good brand and also the size to get. I have a sport with stock tires.

Please give me some suggestions.

my next sets:

Juliane, black with chrome lip...hmmm...I'd check out Rota, Enkei, or Konig. They won't break your bank, and I'm sure one of them has what you're looking for!

So what is the offset, and what does it mean?? Can I put 17" on or should I stick with 16"? Is it good to go lighter for gas mileage, like 20 lbs. or so?

I like Enkeis but I need 7s and not 5s. I don't like 5 spoke wheels on the Fit.

How you been anyhow?

If you like mileage, stick with 15s. For a slight drop in mileage but better looks, get 16s. The offset of a wheel is the distance from its hub mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel. Stick with offsets between 30 and 60. Most aftermarket wheels are between that range anyway. Why do you need 7spokes? I like 5 and up lol. And the lighter the better. I like anything between 9 and 15lbs.

I've been alright. Officially out of the navy on Monday, going back to NJ and joining the reserves. If I don't find a job within a week, I'm filing for unemployment until school starts up in September. The Post 9/11 GI Bill is great. I'll get $2000 a month just to LIVE, plus they'll pay for my tuition and books! Can't beat that. Every 18 year old needs to join the military. I wish I had instead of waiting til I was 21. How've you been?

Wow, cool that you're going to be non-active. I had no idea that GI bill was so good again! That's great. I forgot what you are going to school for?

I'm fine, getting ready to take a course in GIS over the summer, hoping I can find something to do for the rest of my life... or at least a few years...

I'm going to go to school for ASE certification working in the Toyota Program at community college. Then go to a University to get an Associates or maybe Bachelors in either Accounting or Business Management. I have time to think about that one lol

Excellent! It's always good to have a usable skill, and people always need their cars serviced! I was watching the mechanics yesterday as they changed out my oil at the dealership...every bay was full and it was clean and bright in there. They had this computerized space-age-looking thing to align the wheels with...it was pretty cool. Being a mechanic is more like being a computer technician than it used to be.

p.s. I hate those green rims but I know some do like them.

I love how the black/red wheel combo looks on my car, it's so murder-esque, but the green is more my style. I should really get both and have one on standby lol.

Yea mechanics these days are technicians really. A lot cleaner and more efficient than the old days huh lol

Im hardly a wheel whore, unless you ask my parents. I have 3 sets right now. The stock 15" sports, 16X7 +42 Volk CE28N's and 15X6.5 +38 BBS RS's. I would like to pick up another set of wheels but not untill I at least finish the BBS's and get them on.

I like the G-Games a lot - they have a really simple look to them. They are a bit bright though - but that could be solved with a bit of powdercoat.
