If I can get four 9 1/2 Lb Enkeis with 16 lb Conti Pro tires mounted and delivered for $1200 why would I pay up to twice that price for wheels that weigh more, offer nothing more in the way of performance gains and keep me awake at night in fear they will be stolen???? I went through that when I owned Harley-Davidson motorcycles that was garaged while living in a gated community..... I guess I just don't need the attention that comes with owning expensive status items.

Last time I checked Enkei's ARE real wheels. I would say one of the best wheels out for the price is the RPF01.

I think if the RPF1 had a lil bit higher offset, I'd find a way.

i think you'll be fine with a +43 offset......it's going to push the wheel and tire out further so unless you're rubbing the body....and you'd have to be low to do that

We'll see, gbaby...

I'm getting $325 extra on my next paycheck for some extra work I did...
Instead of spending it, I'm going to save it and see how things roll the next few months.

I am hoping my kids did well enough on the state test for me to get a $800 bonus. So then...we'll see about wheels and maybe a few other small things.

My main concern is that I want a balance between form and function.

I want something that:
is light
looks nice
won't rub

If I can get those within my budget, we will be golden.

what i meant was that....if you're not into cars...you wouldn't know the difference....

if you put a $2,000 wallet next to a fake $20 wallet....I wouldn't know the difference...and I wouldn't care....

I'd rather have a 2 dollar wallet with $1998.00 cash in it myself.

^^ Whoot!

I carry a neon green duct tape wallet I made...but that's just me ;-)

Had it for about 2 years now...

I love making Duct Tape Wallets...and my Step Daughter does it now for extra cash.

She was a very talented fat girl with knee pads that was forgetful about doing her laundry.... Is anyone else getting aroused thinking about this picture? I guess Bill Clinton isn't on this forum.

I may try to swing black Enkei's (I love the RPF1) myself, but will probably have to sell my old Suzuki SV650 to afford 'em. I agree wholeheartedly about negative attention - I don't care if my insurance covers my expensive wheels, I just don't want anyone ever messing with my car but me. If I came outside to my ride being on cinderblocks some of my anger would be for the loss of the wheels, but most would be over the fact that some scumbag touched my car! Maybe I should put Drag center caps on the Enkei's? (heh...)

Also, I think when many people (even car enthusiasts) get older, they are less likely to blow a lot of money on things like wheels. There are many other more important things that you may need the funds for in life (medical bills, retirement, weapons & canned goods for the coming apocalypse, etc) , and having it all tied up in a car just isn't practical. I'm 45, and just recovered from losing all my possessions in a fire less than a year ago -thankfully I had got renter's insurance about 9 months earlier. I've finally got my furniture, clothing, audio/video system, computer, and most other items replaced. I then took a look at my 6 year-old car and decided to trade it in on something I really liked that was a great combination of fun and economy -my new Fit. I plan to change a few parts to personalize it to my taste - love the stock Sport look, but if you've seen one, you've seen 'em all! I've always liked dark wheels on silver cars and will make sure what I buy is lighter than stock and doesn't rub.
I love riding my bike but Austin is getting more and more dangerous - still haven't decided yet if I'll try to sell the 'Zook or not. If I do I can spend a bit more on wheels, but I won't go higher than about $200 each. I don't buy on credit, I'm finally free of debt and don't plan on falling for that crap ever again.
Anyway, to each his own. I dig nice wheels whatever the cost, and would praise a Fit with Slipstreams as I would one with Spoon SW388s.

Re: Monica Lewinski... Ashley Graham is HOT! I hang out at Lane Bryant stores waiting for her or someone like her to pick up & take back to my place. I have to bribe security, though-they always want to throw me out...
