Looking foward to tomorrow, well today now (my time).
We have the potential to win the World Cup, but i seriously think we will never rise to the oocasion. We always blow it against some mediocre team... kinda like our first game this time! Haha.
It's good to be English sometimes

6 hours until tiny Slovenia falls to the mighty US. I didn't know Slovenia was so small... nor did I know that a player from the Lakers is from Slovenia!

That's odd, I wasn't aware that England even had a goalkeeper.

2 hours
Yes we are small country, but yet we managed to attend 2 out of 5 World cups since our independence. We beat Russia on the way. We have nothing to loose and everything to win.
At leats you guys know now where is Slovenia
And we will play in the same group the next world basketball championship.

I'm with Portugal too. Both parents were born there!

So here in Canada world flags are EVERYWHERE. Almost every car has a flag on their window, or for me I have one on my antenna (since my window deflectors prevent a window flag). We also have a huge Canada flag hung up with a huge Portugal flag on our garage.

I was in the US on Tuesday and noticed that not ONE American car had a world flag up. Are you not allowed to celebrate your home country in the US? Or are people just not as crazy about World Cup as we are here in Ontario?

We are late-comers to the beautiful game, our teams have been struggling to even make it to the cup until 2002 (that was a surprise). We have our own "football" and it's nothing like soccer. Many people don't "get" football, they think it's silly and pointless (literally) when no one scores. The game also doesn't translate that well to television because it can't be interrupted for commercials like pointy-ended football.

But Landon Donovan is a great player and we have probably one of if not the BEST keeper in the world right now in Tim Howard.

So what do you think of Christiano? Love him or hate him?
