I found that the majority of topics have been answered in 2008 or even earlier. So I just subscribe to them for future reference and go back to the last page of my subscribed threads in my User CP and BAM, I've got my answer.

HELLO BROTHERS!

You can all fix the above bolded issues.. you know how.. I've seen the light! and it is good!

I personally am not a big fan of reading the common mod threads but you never know what someone will do so I keep reading. I spend more time on K20A.org but its not the same. I see lots of engine info there but my heart is with the fit, not the power. So I remember my roots and I come back. I read this board everyday and answer all the PM's I get. I encourage everyone to do anything they want to and ask me a million questions, if I don't know, I will tell you I don't or tell you where I've gathered said info from if it is not my own hands on work. I'm a HUGE RR fan but I DO love me some sexy hard parkers from time to time.

Keep up the good work, be unique and go nuts on whatever you want. You are your limit.

I really enjoy this forum. It's not really full of dbags like some others I've been on. I feel like the Fit is a car that brings many age groups together. A gentleman in his 40s just bought a 2012 Fit. He lives next door to me and came over the other day and was asking about my mods/how hard it was to do. I have never had that with any other car I've had. I love this car for reasons like that. This will be my DD until the wheels fall off. Thanks to everyone on here.

Well said Prelude!
I enjoy this forum and have gotten lots of good ideas and advice here. I am not a modder (except for cosmetic stuff), but appreciate the fact that many members here welcome Fit owners of all kinds.

I do feel that this forum could be organized a bit better. There could be technical sections for the serious modders.

There could also be a Newbie Section with a FAQ rather than new people posting the same questions. there are so many threads on tires-- it is exhausting to read them all--would be helpful to combine in one group.

Alas, I've come to the conclusion, that try as you might... you will NEVER stop newbies from posting 10000 questions about the same topic, even if the FAQ is the largest, most obvious post on the page.

While the search requires some patience, if you know the right terms to put into the search, it gets much easier. The problem is never the search engine (no matter how messed up it is)... they never actually use the search. The topics they bitch about never finding, I can find in a literal 5 seconds.

Coilover questions are the best. People spouting false information based on VERY biased and uninformed opinions as bible.

Wink Let's Get Crack'n!

One thing is always a constant in a forum or just plain day to day life and that is change. I have an EF some of you know I've been resurrecting and the EF forum is just about Done! But the Fits are still going strong. If you go back to old posts from 05-07 man the excitement was high and the The Fit was just coming to the USA, now we have gotten use to them being here so some of the early momentum has slowed but there is still a lot to be discovered here. And crack'n the ECU would start a new revival here as far as go fast mods, so do we have any ECU designers in the house?

Kinda amusing coming from you DSM... I figured you'd have far more answers than questions most of us can think of... (That was meant to be a compliment).

The tire thing is a good example. There seems to be threads daily about rims and tires, but there never posted in the Wheels subsection. A short look in that section would probable have given them there answer. I dont know what the GE guys have set up for threads but when I was new there was a thread with peoples car set up. what they where lowered on if lowered at all, wheel sizes and specs, tire sizes do they rub in the front or rear and any other comments to add. I looked through that thread and got a really good idea of what set up I wanted to run.

Heheh... Just got a flashback from a previous life... Yes, the keyboard is just another input device. Garbage in, garbage out! Proper tagging can help the search engine but gotta have the proper terms first.

Thanks to everyone on here.
Yup I agree. There are forums out there where there seems to be more arsonists than firefighters...

I feel like I always have more questions than answers

Everyone can always stand to learn something, myself especially! Our understanding of many things is fluid. I try not to get caught up with cognitive dissonance, so often what I am searching for is opposite the understanding I may already have. All too often you will get results or data in real world testing that contradicts what is considered to be established fact.

That means you are either doing something wrong, or if it is repeatable and measurable.. you have learned something new!

In theory, there is no difference between practice and theory. In practice, there is. - Yogi Berra

I can't get over how in the opening post Goobers refers to himself as being "chicken shit" because he isn't comfortable doing things to his car that a person with more experience does... I don't think anyone else on here has all but circumnavigated the 48 contiguous states alone in his car.... That's an amazing adventure to experience all on your own.

Keeping up with his dispatches from race tracks, the Bonneville Salt Lakes and getting pulled over by a Texas DPS Trooper outside of Amarillo Lyon's first turbocharged drive at midnight on 1/1/2011and waiting to hear how it went was fun too.

I dunno... everytime I think about it... it feels like it's "been there, done that" kind of deal.

Plenty of people have taken long road trips. Lots have visited the Salt Flats. And WAYYY more have done track time. And all before I even thought about it (or before I was born for that matter).

But when I say being chicken shit, I was thinking more along the lines of things being done TO the car (ie, turbo, mods and all that).
