Honda Quality and the Civic Type-R

I've read the 40000 mile evaluation of the Type R and it gives me pause for the state of Honda quality (as it relates to the Fit/Jazz). What bothers you about your Fit/Jazz?

Type R issues included:
- cabin noise levels remain higher than they should be (especially on the Fit MT)
- TPMS design (wheel spin speed not pressure based)
- MT quality (I was shocked at how much trouble C&D had with the Type R)
- drivers seat adjustment mechanism wearing early
- clutch hydraulic line adjustment
- infotainment feature sorely out of date

Most of those aren’t quality based.

Also, some of the complaints are really weird and dumb.

You would think at that price point that it would have active noise cancellation - especially for those long drives at speed on the highway to get to fun driving roads. There
s nothing worse than +6-8 dB of more drone than is needed for general highway driving.

Once I'm driving on fun roads - bring on the noise.

Higher cabin noise is expected in the top-tier sportiest trim (Type-R) because weight savings or whatever.
Most TPMS systems measure via inertia and not a direct pressure measurement. Every car I've had that had a TPMS worked this way.

Honda's are reliable weather or not they have "initial quality".
I love how car magazines say bmw, audi, mercedes etc has "highest initial quality".
Meanwhile they're unreliable endless money pits. I'd rather have a Honda.
