hey guys, i am deciding between getting a fit, and a hyundai accent gs sr hatch (this is the top accent, not sure what the badging is in the US)

I haven't driven them yet, but i'm currently leaning more towards the accent because it looks better on paper (as a daily driver)

Accent Pros

-110 hp
-Clarion radio, 7 speakers, 10 inch sub in a custom enclosure, 4 channel amp with 400 watts
-front/rear fascia, side skirts
16 alloys, wider tires then fit
-custom air intake and air filter
-tint is standard
-slightly better fuel consumption
-slightly cheaper

Fit Pros

-way nicer interior
-5 doors (BIG plus)
-more cargo space (although the actual specifications of both cars show that the total length of the accent is a few inches longer then the fit, as well as a few inches wider)
-much, much more aftermarket potential (vs. almost none with accent)

What do you guys think? I was set to go buy a fit, but the new 07 accent looks pretty impressive in the SR trim. I'll have to wait for the Edmonton Car Show to see which one looks/feels better in person, but right now, the accent looks like its what i'm gonna purchase.

 

hyundai is getting better in quality but it's no performer to the Fit. just read reviews of the other cars. also resale value isn't as high.

 

I think the Accent is very cool looking, and I really wanted to like it. But the crash scores are horrible.

 

Resale values for a Hyundai are horrable so unless you plan on keeping the Accent forever you will loose out at tradein/selling time...
Quality of the Fit is miles ahead of the Accent. Drive both to compare...
Reliability....Dude its a Honda what else needs to be said...
Safety...Again the Fit wins in this category...
Dont be swayed by a factory installed intake... There are plenty of aftermarket intakes for the Fit....
